Yoram Eliyahu was born into a tight-knit family of four siblings with hard working parents in Kirat-Shmona, a small town nestled in the northern mountains of Israel. His father was a construction worker, bringing home a modest income. The elder Eliyahu raised his family in a traditional, observant manner.
At the age of fourteen, Yoram Eliyahu enrolled in the Bezek high school, an Israeli boarding school specializing in telecommunications and electronics. He continued his education for an additional two years following his graduation, earning himself a sub-engineering degree. He then served his three year term as a soldier in the Israeli army. After completing his three year army term, Yoram Eliyahu left Israel for the United States.
