Israel and Technology

The nation of Israel and technology giant Microsoft have been in discussions for a new teleprocessing technology collaboration. In late 2012, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz to discuss the implications of this deal. Yoram Eliyahu, a native of Israel and real estate expert in the United States is pleased to see his home country taking this major step toward advancing the world's perception of Israel as a leader in technology.
The Israeli government and Microsoft Israel are, according to Yoram Eliyahu, in talks to create a collaborative teleprocessing effort which will assist in exchanging information, ideas and infrastructure development within the country. The Microsoft base in Israel is one of only three strategic Global Development Centers worldwide. With an already solidified relationship and the reputations of both parties for embracing new and upcoming technologies, the partnership is an obvious choice for improving the country’s communications and data transfer technologies.
Yoram Eliyahu explains teleprocessing as a layout of computers that exchange information via a closed network. This is used to transfer data and files to other locations. The hope for this partnership is that it will not only increase the scope and quality of Israel’s communications, but that it will also support the nation’s business economy. From small startup businesses through established companies, it is hoped that this partnership will create new opportunities for companies in the information sharing industry. Any advances made will benefit both business and the government in their respective attempts at increasingly secure and reliable remote communications.
While Yoram Eliyahu no longer lives in Israel, he is an active advocate for Jewish causes and supporter of his homeland. He is looking forward to seeing the progress of Microsoft Israel and the interests of the Israeli government as part of the ongoing growth of technology in Israel.
